Features · Vehicle specs

The specs for the car in the bay.

Open the work order and see the engine oil, fluids, filters, spark plugs and fitment details for that exact vehicle. No more searching the web between jobs.

Every spec comes with the text that states it. If no source states a value, the field stays empty for you to fill in. FluxFront never guesses.

Where the facts come from

Owner's manual first, then the web

FluxFront looks for the owner's manual for that configuration first. Anything the manual does not cover is searched on the web.

A spec is kept only when the source text states it, and that text is saved with it. A number that cannot be matched to its source is dropped and the field is left for you.

  • Matched to year, make, model and engine
  • Once a car is looked up, the next lookup is already there
  • If a spec looks wrong to you, hide it for your shop

Specs that fill in your oil change

Service packages like an oil change can fill the oil and filter rows from the specs for that car. You review the rows before they go on the job.

Your techs can open the specs too, so the person under the hood sees the same numbers as the front desk.

FAQ

Questions shops ask

What happens when no source states a spec?

The field stays empty and you enter it by hand. FluxFront does not fill in a value it cannot show a source for.

Does it need the engine details?

Yes. Specs are matched to year, make, model and engine. The engine is read from the VIN when it can be. Without enough detail, FluxFront will not suggest a spec.

What if a spec looks wrong?

You can hide it for your shop. It stays out of your work orders and the value is left for you to enter.

Is the library shared?

Yes. Vehicle facts are public technical information, so once one car configuration is looked up it is ready for the next shop. Customer details and your prices are never part of it.

Can my techs see it?

Yes. Staff can open the specs on a work order and start a lookup.
